Sunil takes review of DDB decisions’ implementation

KISHTWAR, May 14: Minister for Transport (Independent Charge), Science and Technology, Sunil Sharma today took a thorough review of the implementation of the decisions taken in the previous District Development Board meeting.
While emphasizing on utilization of 100 per cent funds provided under the district plan, state plan and other centrally sponsored schemes, the Minister impressed upon all the heads of the departments and sectoral officers to ensure implementation of all the Board decisions.
He said Government will attend to all the developmental needs of district Kishtwar and focus will remain on health, education, PHE, R&B and RDD besides other departments.
DDC Kishtwar presented a detailed report on the progress achieved with respect to the implementation of DDB decisions in the district and the Minister stressed upon departments to be answerable to people as most of the schemes don’t seems to be executed on ground besides most of the time departments don’t have a scheme and funds get lapsed.
He assured that reservoirs construction to be taken up in convergence and even CDF will be made available for the construction of sports stadium for which 75 kanals land has already been identified and project submitted for funding. He urged upon the Government to immediately release funds under MGNREGA as those who have given their hundred percents in work should not be kept waiting.
Minister directed for collaboration amongst the department for speedy result of things especially between Forest and R&B for road clearance. He directed all district officers to take consent of legislators in formulation of plans.
He stressed that Agriculture Department should work out plan for the development of saffron, Rajmash and local seeds.
Warning stern action for dereliction of duty, the Minister made it clear that if anyone found absent on duty without prior information will be dealt severely and also will face demotion. He also stated that special squad will be pressed into service to ensure regularity and punctuality in Government offices.
