BANIHAL, Nov 16: Minister of State for R&B and Revenue, Sunil Sharma today convened a public grievances redressal camp at remotely located Neel Banihal.
A large number of people from surrounding hilly areas were present on the occasion. They apprised the Minister about various issues pertaining to damaged roads, road connectivity to hilly locations, school buildings, electricity and water supply, shortage and storage of food items during winter season, small bridges on nallas, location of niabat, besides several others issues with regard to RDD, transport, ICDS and social welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted various Central and State Government schemes and added that such schemes help provide economic benefit and financial support to the people irrespective of social and geographical factors.
The Minister also said that various developmental projects are being taken up by the Government in the State that will be beneficial for general public.
The Minister urged concerned officials and executing agencies to ensure quality of work and time bound completion of ongoing developmental works. He also directed executing agencies for regular visits to work sites for personal monitoring.
The Minister also directed concerned to take up and intensify work on road stretches including Banihal-Jardi, Parinder-Batoo, Chaka- Sarbangi, Ukhral- Pogal and Chamalwas-Neel Patinder.
