JAMMU, Jan 7: Supari killer Sunny Baba sustained minor injuries on his left wrist under mysterious circumstances inside District Jail at Ambphalla last night. He has been admitted in the Government Medical College, Jammu.
Reports said Sunny Baba complained of abdomen pain in the night and was being taken to dispensary inside the jail premises when he broke a glass and inflicted injuries on his left wrist.
However, he claimed before police that four to five unidentified persons attacked him inside the jail when he was returning from the dispensary with sharp edged weapon causing him injuries on the wrist.
Police said they have recorded the statement of Sunny Baba and were examining circumstantial evidence before registration of FIR.
Sunny Baba had taken ‘supari’ from Nagar Singh alias Nago for eliminating witnesses in the case of Raju Chopra murder and Amandeep Singh murder case. Nago is involved in both the cases and was lodged in the jail.
