JAMMU, Oct 31: Committee on Career Counselling of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) with the support of J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAI organised a Super Mega Career Counselling programme at Teacher Bhawan Auditorium in Jammu and various other locations in Jammu and Kashmir for promoting commerce education amongst Government and Government aided Secondary and Higher Senior Secondary School students.
More than 2000 students from different schools physically participated the events across the UT with the help of Counselling Cells, DSEJ and DSEK.
At Teacher Bhawan Auditorium, Jammu more than 500 students participated in Career Counselling programme in the presence of chief guest Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, Director School Education, Jammu.
More Than 15000 students from different regions were connected through Virtual Mode.
Nakul Saraf, Chairman J&K Branch said that the prime objective of the counselling programme is to bring out the true potential of students belonging to Jammu.
Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, DSEJ assured full support to ICAI for fulfilling the objective of providing career guidance and promoting Chartered Accountancy Course in all the schools of Jammu division.
Vineet Kohli, Secretary J&K Branch took the first session and gave a detailed presentation about Chartered Accountancy Course and appraised the gathering about the various initiatives taken by ICAI for the benefit of the students and members at large.
Priya, Executive Member took the second session where she appraised the gathering about the benefits after becoming a CA and various working opportunities for CAs. She further explained about post qualification courses and the acceptability of CAs abroad.
Ayush Sawhney, Treasurer J&K Branch conducted the proceedings and presented formal vote of thanks.
Vikas Purdhani, Vice Chairman, Sourav Pargal, Executive Member along with officials from DSEJ- HR Pakhroo Joint Director, Monika Bhandari, Chief Accounts Officer, Dr. Rajesh Attri, Personnel Officer, Dr. Romesh Kumar Head Counselling Cell, Mamta Sharma, Deputy Director Planning, DS Manhas DEPO and Principals of the schools from the Education Department of Jammu graced the event.
