UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: With a view to provide advance healthcare services to the deserving patients of Udhampur and its adjoining Districts, Rotary Foundation in collaboration with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Rotary Clubs of J&K is organizing 10-day Mega Multispecialty Medical check-up and surgical camp at Udhampur District Headquarters from March 16, 2013.
This was disclosed by State Co-ordinator, Rotary Health Mission, D.N. Sharma while interacting with the media persons here today.
Mr. Sharma revealed that specialist doctors from outside the State and from State Health Department will examine and operate the patients.
Mr. Sharma said that the patients suffering with eye diseases, ENT, Dental, Gynaecology, Urology, Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardiac and other serious diseases will be examined and treated during the camp. He said that the camp would be held at different locations which include Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Housing Colony Udhampur, Govt. District Hospital Udhampur, and Serv Sidhi Nursing Home Udhampur.
Patients suffering with Cardiac, Kidney, Oncology (Cancer), Neurology, Corneal diseases requiring transplant, Retinal Detachment requiring retinal detachment surgery and other serious diseases will be screened at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital, Housing Colony Udhampur on March 23 & 24, 2013 and those recommended for surgery, will be operated at PGI Chandigarh free of cost, he added.
He further said that free boarding and lodging, meal transportation and other facilities would be provided free of cost to the patients.
