Superintendent of DH heckled, employee suspended

KISHTWAR, June 14: Superintendent of District Hospital was heckled by an attendant-cum-Government employee here today.
As per reports, Superintendent of District Hospital Kishtwar Dr Parvez Wani was heckled by attendant of a patient inside the hospital premises when the officer asked him to properly wear the mask.

The attendant started using abusive language on being asked to wear the mask properly and slapped the Superintendent when the latter was on round inside the hospital.
The attendant identified as Chuni Lal, an employee of DC Office Kishtwar was handed over to police for necessary action under law.
Following attack on Superintendent, the staff of district hospital went on strike and closed all services including Emergency Services.
On the assurance of action from DC Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara, the routine work was resumed in the hospital.
DC Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara said that such acts by any Government employee will not be tolerated and action will be taken against offenders.
Later, DC ordered suspension of the employee.
A case under sections 353, 504 and 506 of IPC and Section 3 of Epidemic Act has been registered against the attendant-cum-employee who heckled the Superintendent of District Hospital Kishtwar at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
