RAMBAN, Mar 2: A supervisor working with a railway construction company was killed after being hit by loose debris at an under-construction tunnel here today.
The deceased supervisor Parkash Chand, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, was on duty when he came under the debris of rocks inside the tunnel in Khari area, following which he was immediately rushed to the Sub-District Hospital Banihal, a police official said.
Chand died on the way to Srinagar hospital, where he was referred for a specialised treatment.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
