RS PURA, Apr 22: Indira Bhalla, the wife of Congress candidate for Jammu Lok Sabha constituency, today sought support for Raman Bhalla and urged the people of Jammu to rally behind the INDI Alliance for the brighter future of the region’s youth.
Addressing a public meeting which was organised by Kishore Kumar and Kundan Lal Sharma in Miran Sahib, Indira Bhalla asserted that the BJP has not put forth any concrete policy for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, except recruitment scams and exacerbating joblessness.
She emphasized the critical importance of collective action and solidarity in shaping a prosperous and inclusive future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Indira further appealed to the people of border areas to wholeheartedly support Congress Candidate Raman Bhalla to realize the aspirations and dreams of the youth and paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, and DDC Suchetgarh in his address, strongly criticized the BJP-led Government at the Centre for its neglectful attitude towards the people residing in border areas.
He underscored the gravity of the situation faced by those residing in these strategic areas, emphasizing their indispensable role in safeguarding the territorial integrity and security of the nation.
Specifically targeting the Agniveer scheme, Tony said that if the Congress were to come to power, the scheme would be promptly abolished, and regular recruitments reinstated, aiming to restore the aspirations and opportunities of the country’s youth.
