JAMMU, June 3: Protest demonstrations were organized by Patanjali Yog Samiti and Bharat Swabhiman Trust and supporters of veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare were held on the call of Yoga Guru, Baba Ram Dev and Anna Hazare who sat on one day fast in Union Capital today demanding the Indian black money from foreign countries should be brought back.
At Jammu the dharna was held in front of Press Club here where about 200 supporters of Yoga Guru and Anna Hazare sat on daylong dharna and observed the fast to show solidarity with their leaders.
The protestors with pla -cards and banners in their hands were raising slogans in support of their demands. Besides demanding that the Indian black money lying in foreign counties be brought back, they demanded passage of strong Jan Lok Pall Bill, removal of corrupt ministers and highlighted together several issues confronting the nation.
The speakers who addressed the protestors said the main objective of this nationwide movement was to aware people so that they will raise a forceful voice against the growing corruption, which is eating the vitals of the society.
Those who addressed included Patanjali Yog Samiti and Bharat Swabhiman Trust Jammu Unit president Bansi Lal Sharma, its state vice president Deepak Sharma, Pavitar Singh, retired Session Judge and president JPF and other dignitaries of the Patanjali Yog Peeth.
Our Kathua correspondent adds that over 200 supporters of Baba Ram Dev and Anna Hazare sat on dharna at Bhagat Singh Parak in the town and raised slogans against the growing corruption. The protestors demanded that Indian black money lying in foreign banks be brought back. They also demanded that the corrupt ministers in union as well as state Cabinet be stripped off.
One-day dharna was also held in support of Baba Ram Dev and Anna Hazare by their supporters at Samba town today. The protestors demanded that a strong Lok Pal Bill be passed by the Parliament and the black money lying in foreign banks be brought back.
Nilamber Dogra and Devyograj district Samba president of two organizations respectively said the time is ripe that an awareness campaign be launched in entire country against the corruption and misrule.
Meanwhile All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice held a meeting here today in which a fervent appeal was made to people to strengthen the hands of Baba Ram Dev and Anna Hazare who have launched a crusade against corruption nation-wide.
Kuldeep Kumar Rao one of the members of the organization said that the meeting decided that the organization will lend full support to both Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare in their crusade. These two leaders have kindled a hope in the nation that they would certainly succeed in ushering in an era of honesty. S Deep Sing, Dr G S Charak, Pankaj Sangral, S N Saproo, R L Raina , Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur, Pardeep Kumar Bhagat, Madan Gopal, Kalyan Singh Chib and others attended the meeting.
