JAMMU, Apr 4: Describing the claim of Congress leader Bharat Sinh Solanki that Modi led BJP Government was working for a few rich and not for common people of the country as false, Executive Member BJP J&K, Raman Suri today said that Solanki was an ill-informed politician who in frustration, was uttering such words to mislead the public.
In a handout Suri said that more than 50 crore Jan Dhan accounts were solely opened for poor people, who are now getting financial benefits directly into their accounts.
“Former PM Rajiv Gandhi had openly said that entire money meant for the poor never reached them but with the efforts of PM Modi today the most deserving lot of the society is getting their due directly without intervention of any middlemen, a development which Solanki must know,” he maintained adding: “About 10.3 crore cooking gas connections have been given to poor under Ujjwala scheme, which have improved the quality of life of women.”
