JAMMU, July 7: Expressing his grave concern over students of class 10th protesting on roads seeking mass promotion, J&K BJP executive member, Raman Suri today urged the LG Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter and direct Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to listen to the grievances of children and do whatever for their future prospects.
Suri said that this is very unfortunate that JKBOSE authorities are not even lending their ear to the aggrieved students and are using police force to keep them at bay from their office. This is not a healthy sign of good governance wherein children are being denied a hearing by the officials of the JKBOSE.
Raman Suri said that while Prime Minister in one go announced mass promotion of all class 12th of CBSE students, then why was there a need of declaring results of class 10th students based on just two examinations. These little students could also deserve for mass promotion, he said.
“This is grave injustice with class 10th students and they must be given mass promotion as a onetime exception or a way out should be found to save their academic year,” he added.
