UDHAMPUR, Jan 9: Surinder Sharma has been elected as new president and Yog Raj as secretary of Bar Association Udhampur, elections of which were held today in the District Court complex.
Out of total 105 voters, 103 cast their votes.
Surinder Sharma secured 64 votes and in a triangular contest, he defeated Gulshan (23 votes) and Anil Vijay( 14 votes). Two votes are declared invalid.
For the post of secretary, Yog Raj achieved 49 votes and he defeated Sunil Kumar (19) and Sunny Mahajan (31) while 4 votes are invalid.
