R.S PURA, Dec 2: State Convener BJP Panchayati Raj Cell and Sarpanch Flora Panchayat of Block Suchetgarh, Surjit Chowdhary here today started development work of laying water pipes under Jal Jeevan Mission in the Panchayat.
Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhary said through a memorandum, the water committee of the village had demanded that a pipeline should be laid in the Panchayat for providing clean water to the people, due to which this work was approved and today it has been started.
The Sarpanch said that an amount of about Rs 4.5 crore would be spent on this work which was started under Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.
He said that aim of the BJP Government at Center is to provide clean drinking water to the people living in rural areas and under that many schemes have been started by the government, under which tube wells and pipes are being installed at Panchayat level.
Naib Sarpanch Ashok Kumar, Panch Sardar Singh, Panch Chud Singh and others were also present on this occasion.
