DODA, Dec 18: Police here today arrested a surrendered militant Anayatullah Khan son of Lal Din Khan, a resident of Sanwara, Tehsil Gandoh, who escaped during a police raid in which his accomplice was arrested for drug peddling.
On November 27, 2022 Doda Police registered a case in FIR No. 88/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act at Police Station Gandoh in which one drug peddler Adil Iqbal alias Adil Hussain son of Mohd Iqbal Batt resident of Manoie Tehsil Chilly Pingal was arrested on spot and co-accused Anayatullah Khan escaped.
A police party led by SHO Gandoh, Inspector, Vikram Singh assisted by PSI Arhie Bhushan arrested the drug peddler who was a surrendered militant from Bagli Modh of Gandoh.
It is pertinent to mention here that the surrendered militant was earlier involved in number of FIRs of Police Station Gandoh.
The backward and forward links of the drug peddlers are being ascertained during further investigation of the case.
