Sushil Sudan gets Mahatma Gandhi Lifetime Achievement Award

JAMMU, June 3: Prominent Trade Unionist and president Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Sushil Sudan, has been conferred with prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Lifetime Achievement Award by India International Friendship Society (IIFS), New Delhi in recognition of distinguished services by him.
The award was presented to Sushil Sudan by Justice Swantanter Kumar, former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Ex Chairperson National Green Tribunal, during a glittering ceremony held at India International Centre, New Delhi in presence of galaxy of noted personalities like Professor P J Kurien, former Deputy Chairman (Rajya Sabha), Manhar Valji Bhai Zala, Chairman National Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Chetan Chauhan, Minister for Sports, Youth Welfare, Vocational, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, a number of other Ministers in Uttar Pradesh Government
Sudan was presented this award keeping in view the services rendered by him in the field of Medical Services and for betterment of employees. He has been actively involved in Trade union activities since joining of service in 1989 and launched several struggles for the employees of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare in particular and other employees in general for which he was also jailed many times. Presently he is President of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, general secretary All India State Govt Pharmacist Association and Member Pharmacy Council of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Govt of India.
