JAMMU, May 25: A police constable who was under suspension fell unconscious in Indra Chowk area of Jammu city today and was declared as brought dead in a hospital.
“The deceased Constable has been identified as Rajesh Singh (Belt number 2767/J) son of Bachan Singh, resident of Pallanwala (Akhnoor),” a police official said, adding, the deceased was complaining of dizziness before felling unconscious.
The official said that the shopkeepers of the area informed the Hari Market police which shifted the cop in unconscious condition to GMC Jammu but the doctors there declared him as brought dead. Inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by police post Hari Market, he added.
He further informed that the deceased constable was posted at District Police Lines Jammu but was under suspension.
