This has reference to the recent news reports on Suspension of cross LoC trade. The decision of the Union Home Ministry to suspend cross- LoC trade is a step in right direction. It is very disappointing that the confidence building measure (CBM) which was supposed to improve Indo-Pak relations and boost the economy of the two countries was used for promoting terrorism in India. The people involved in smuggling weapons and fake currency should have thought twice before embarking on this mission the consequence it may bring with it. A trust has been lost and it may pretty long time to build the trust anew.
The people had expected that many more trade routes would be opened in the near future. With this development nothing like that is going to happen.
For India trade means nothing when it comes to security of the country. India can go to any extent to safeguard her interest.
Barring some valley based mainstream political parties everybody is happy with this decision.
