Suspicious gadget turned out to be empty box

SAMBA Dec 12: Panic gripped Swankha Morh and its surroundings in Vijaypur tehsil of Samba district today after some people saw a box on the bank of river.
The people called police which immediately rushed to the spot. A bomb disposal squad was also rushed to the spot and area was cordoned off, officials said.
Some locals noticed the suspicious box lying on the banks of a canal near Swankha Morh, around 15 kilometres from the International Border, and informed police about it, they said.
However SSP Samba, Benam Tosh when contacted said that there was nothing to get panicky as it was an empty box of shoes. The police took the box into its custody soon after reaching the spot and found that it was empty, he added.
