Sustainable development of all regions Govt’s priority: Ganga

SAMBA, June 18: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga today said that Government’s endeavor is to create sustainable public infrastructure with special focus on improving road connectivity, which he said is key to the socio-economic development of the people.
The Minister said this after inaugurating the blacktopping works of road from Badhori to Raya to be completed at a cost of Rs 70 lakh by R&B Department.
The Minister said that steps are apace for infrastructural development and providing better amenities to the people.
He also sought active public participation in strengthening the initiatives of the Government and better upkeep of the public utilities .
On being apprised of the problems and developmental needs of the area, the Minister assured the people that requisite steps will be taken to redress their issues in a time bound manner.
He also convened a grievances redressal camp at Sarore and took first hand appraisal of the demands of the people which were mainly pertaining to ration, power and water supply.
The Minister directed the concerned departments to take adequate measures to mitigate the problems of the people in a time bound manner
MLA Samba Davinder Manyal, officers of concerned departments and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
Later, the Minister convened a meeting with the officers of PHE Department to take stock of water supply position. He directed the officers to take requisite steps to ensure adequate water supply besides testing of water samples on regular basis to provide safe drinking water to the people.
