Suzuki to fix faulty rear axle in 54,740 Access 125 scooters

NEW DELHI, July 13:  Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) is undertaking a service campaign to rectify faulty rear axle shafts in 54,740 units of its new Access 125 scooter.
The campaign will cover the Access 125 scooters manufactured between March 8 and June 22 in 2016. Starting July 13, owners of the vehicles covered will be contacted by Suzuki dealers, the company said in a statement.
The replacement of the rear axle shaft will be done free of cost. As a goodwill gesture, SMIPL will offer free periodic maintenance service to all the customers who will report to the dealership for replacement, it added.
A spokesperson of SMIPL said: “We have decided to undertake this service campaign on the New Access 125 scooters to address issues of rear axle/wheel stability that has been identified in some of these scooters.”
This is in pursuance of the company’s “commitment to customer satisfaction and as a matter of abundant precaution and safety”, the spokesperson added. (PTI)
