JAMMU, Dec 4: State Vigilance Commission today held a detailed meeting with Director Vigilance and his staff in which the implementation of the recent notification regarding functioning of the VO was reviewed.
The Chief Vigilance Commissioner was all praise for functioning of the VO especially for the Director Shaikh Owais Ahmad, who for the last 9 months has done commendable work in streamlining the organizational work and clearing the back log.
He also made it clear that the motive of both the organizations is to help the public in redressal of their grievences and to control corruption. He also emphasized that the SVC will supervize the functioning of the VO in order to make it stronger and more meaningful and raise its image in the public and Government.
