JAMMU, Jan 29: State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today reviewed the progress on verification of the alleged irregularities committed in transfer of land under the Roshini Scheme at a meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (JKVOJ) officers.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda.
Vigilance Commissioners, R K.Jerath and Gousul Nisa Jeelani, besides Director State Vigilance Organisation, Sheikh Owais, IGP Vigilance Organisation, Alok Puri, Secretary State Vigilance Commission, DIG, SSP, Deputy Director Prosecution and Assistant Commissioner Revenue of Vigilance Organisation, Additional Secretary SVC, Chief Prosecuting Officer SVC & FA/CAO were present in the meeting.
It was for the second time that SIC took a review of the matter and discussed various steps taken and to be taken by the VOJK for the required verification.
The Director Vigilance Organization said that four Special Investigation Teams (SIT) each headed by SP have been constituted to work under close supervision of nodal SIT headed by DIG VOJK for speedy verification.
It was also indicated that Government (General Administration Department) has also issued instructions to all the Deputy Commissioners on January 27, 2014 for cooperating with the SITs of Vigilance Organisation to complete the verification.
