JAMMU, Apr 25: NSS Unit of Government College of Education, Jammu under the patronage of Principal Prof Aekta Gupta and guidance of NSS Program Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal organized an awareness program SVEEP as per the instructions of Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir through District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Jammu.
The awareness program was conducted by SVEEP team headed by Davinder Singh Manhas, District Nodal Officer and other DLMTs namely Dr Avneet, Dr Ajay Singh Manhas, Sugandh, Darshan Lal, Satpal Kour and Vishal Gondi.
During the program, emphasis was laid on introduction to SVEEP, awareness about voting, importance of elections, sensitizing the new voters regarding various forms related to addition, correction, deletion, etc., information and technical aspects of EVM and VVPAT,
A pledge was also taken by the faculty and students of GCOE during the event.
