JAMMU, July 2: State Vigilance Organization today presented challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against Forester Shamas Din and Khem Raj, Forest Guard, who were caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant Sher Singh of Dungal Bani.
According to the case, both the accused were harassing the complainant on the basis that he was involved in the fire which broke out in the forest area. However, the accused agreed to hush-up the case in case the complainant pays them Rs 2000 as bribe.
Acting on the complaint, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught red-handed both the accused while demanding and accepting bribe. After completion of investigation challan was presented in the court of law.
