SVO produces challan against ex-ZEO Gandoh, teacher

JAMMU, Apr 16: State Vigilance Organization ( SVO) has produced a challan in case FIR No 07/2012 in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Jammu against Mohammed Muqeem, son of Qamar Din of Kursai the then ZEO Gandoh Bhalessa and Munir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mustafa Bhat of Kandloo tehsil Gandoh district, Doda then teacher cum clerk Education Department for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 from the complainant Dular Singh, son Lt. Devi Singh of Shingani Gandoh Bhalessa in Doda district.
The Vigilance registered the case on basis of a complaint filed by Dular Singh alleging that he was working as an adhoc teacher in Government Primary School Sayie Gandoh Bhalessa and the accused persons were demanding Rs 10,000 for crediting his pay arrears in his account.
The Vigilance Organization accordingly organized a trap during which Munir Ahmed the then teacher cum clerk in ZEO Office Gandoh Bhalessa was caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe in a criminal conspiracy with ZEO Mohammed Museum.
