JAMMU, Apr 25: The State Vigilance Organization today produced challan against the officers and officials of J&K Khadi Village Industries Board, Kashmir, who are accused of sanctioning loans in favour of non-existent and fictitious unit holders.
Challan in case FIR number 02/2001, PS VOK, was produced against then Incharge Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Srinagar (now retired), Nisar Ahmad Wani of Dalgate; Deedar Singh of Chanpora Srinagar, presently Trikuta Nagar Jammu ( then Incharge Supervisor KVIB Budgam), Gh Mohammad Khja of Zari Mohalla Batakadal Srinagar ( then Naib Tehsildar Srinagar-now retired), Mohd Yousuf Baba of Arampora Ganderbal (then Manager-II, State Cooperative Bank Branch Ganderbal), Ab Hamid Rather of Malpora Ganderbal (then clerk Cooperative Bank Branch Ganderbal) and beneficiaries namely Shakeel Ahmad Naika, Altaf Ahmad Sofi, Gh Mohidin Naika and Gh Rasool Naika.
The case in this regard was registered on a complaint by chairman People’s Welfare Society. During investigation, allegations were established against the accused who processed three loan cases in year 1997 for sanction of Rs 89000, Rs 80100 and Rs 144000 in favour of three non-existent and fictitious unit holders namely Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Showket Ahmad Mir and Mohidin Dar.
After the Government accorded sanction for launching prosecution against the accused officials, the challan was produced in the court of Special Anti-corruption Judge Kashmir, Srinagar.
Next date of the case has been fixed on May 15, 2015.
