JAMMU, Sept 3: The devotees, well wishers and people from all walks of life celebrated Foundation Day of Swami Kumar Ji Maharaj Geeta Satsang Ashram with devotion and religious fervour in Ashram premises at Muthi, here today.
Swami Ji along with the devotees commemorated the day by remembering the foundation of the Ashram at Udhampur on September 3, 1995 and its ‘Sathapana’ at Muthi in 2004.
A variety of programmes were organized to celebrate the day with zeal and zest.
‘Maha Yagya’ for Jagat Kalyan and ‘pravachan’ by Swami Ji were the highlights of the programme.
After ‘puran aahoti’, a ‘maha bhog’ was served among the devotees.
‘Bhajan and kirtan’ held on the occasion also brought blissful feeling to one and all.
Addressing a large gathering of devotees, Swami Ji along with Ashok Koul, General Secretary Organisation BJP appealed the KP Organisations to come on a single platform, so that the issues confronting the community are redressed easily at all levels.
They made an appeal to the youth of the community to participate more and more in religious and social activities and work as a cohesive unit for betterment of the community and society as well.
Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ajay Bharti was also present on the occasion.
Relief Commissioner Migrants, ML Raina, noted writer Shiban Khabri, social activist Aryan Ramesh and SL Koul also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were ASKPC chief Ravinder Raina, Ashwani Churangoo, Ramesh Hangloo, AN Bhat, Kuldeep Raina, Kashmiri Lal Bhat, Ashok Kangan and Omlaj Raina.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by anchor Pradman Krishan Raina.
