JAMMU, Sept 30: In connection with the culmination of 15 day long Pitra Pakash an Akhand Geeta Path was held by Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi on the banks of river Chander Bagha (Chenab) at Akhnoor today.
On the occasion Swami Ji recited the Shalokas of Shrimad Bjhagwat Geeta for salvation of the ancestors and those martyrs who laid down their lives in turmoil period as well as the 18 soldiers who attained martyrdom at Uri recently.
Hundreds of devotees participated in 15 day long function which came to an end on the bank of river Chander Bagha at Akhnoor today.
Swami Ji highlighted the significance of Pitar Paksha in the Sanatan Dharma. The function culminated with serving of prashad to devotees.
