JAMMU, Feb 15: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital Jammu has enhanced its cardiac care services with the addition of state-of-the-art ECHO, TMT (Treadmill Test), and Holter machines.
A statement said that the new equipment was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Senior Vice President Amar Chand Gupta, President Anil Gupta, and other key members of the hospital management.
Anil Gupta emphasized that the addition of these advanced diagnostic tools will significantly improve the hospital’s ability to offer accurate and timely cardiac care.
“We are proud to provide these procedures at affordable rates compared to other private hospitals, ensuring quality healthcare is accessible to everyone,” he said.
Dr Anil Sharma, cardiologist, explained the functions of the new equipment.
He said while the ECHO machine helps assess the heart’s structure and function, the TMT test evaluates heart performance under stress, and the Holter monitor records continuous heart activity for 24 to 48 hours, aiding in the detection of irregularities.
“These tools will greatly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities,” he said.
“The hospital also remains committed to affordable healthcare, with consultation fees set at just Rs10, ensuring that heart care remains within reach for all patients,” Dr Sharma said.
