Swarn Lata takes stock of public grievances

SAMBA, Jan 24: Vice Chairperson J&K State Advisory Board for the Welfare & Development of Scheduled Castes, Swarn Lata convened a public meeting at village Khaner, Khada Madana.
The meeting was attended by the inhabitants of the area including prominent citizens and various points were raised for the welfare of the people and development of the area.
The public of the area unanimously complained about the shortage of water and demanded constructing of Dug Wells and Tube Wells in the village. They also requested that matter may be taken up with PHE authorities for regular supply of water. They also requested for construction of lanes in the village, as it becomes very difficult to travel during rainy period.
Vice Chairperson after listening to the suggestions and grievances of the public, assured them that the J&K State Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Scheduled Castes will make all out efforts to redress the problem of the Scheduled Caste community. Further, she assured them to take up all the genuine points raised by the public with the concerned Departments for addressing the grievances of the villagers.
