SAMBA, Sept 29: An extensive drive to verify the genuineness of beneficiaries of availing benefits under various social security schemes was carried out at Panchayat Ghar tapyal, Block Ghagwal.
Around 139 ineligible persons found availing benefits under old age pension, widow pension, and handicap category were weeded out during the verification drive.
As per the department, more such verification drives will be carried out in next phase so that only deserving beneficiaries take benefit of social security scheme.
