Swindler bailed out in fake job racket case

JAMMU, Jan 21: A swindler arrested by Miran Sahib police in fake job racket case was bailed out today.
As per police sources, over dozen people approached police station Miran Sahib on January 16 with a complaint that a person identified as Abdul Majeed Shah, son of Abdul Aziz Shah, a resident of Ransoo, district Reasi, at present Kotli Mian Fateh had taken over Rs 40 lakh from them on account of proving them Government jobs.
The complainants further stated that when they got suspicious and asked for returning their amount, the swindler tried to attack them with sharp edged weapon.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 9/15 under Section 4/25 Arms Act, 504, 506 and 420 RPC got registered with Miran Sahib police station and the swindler was arrested on January 18 by police team led by SHO SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh, SP Headquarters Randhir Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
During questioning, the accused revealed that he had taken money from over one dozen youth on pretext of proving them Government jobs.
The accused also disclosed that he had taken cash from the people residing in Bishnah, Bajalta, Udhampur, Mahore, Miran Sahib and some other parts of the State.
The accused was driver by profession around two decades back and was presently working as ‘moulvi’.
The accused has also disclosed the names of some other persons involved in the racket and they will be behind the bars soon and more FIRs are likely to be registered against them in near future.
Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate sought details of the case and after studying the facts, granted conditional bail to the swindler.
