Symposium held in GCoE

JAMMU, Nov 12: Government College of Education, Jammu organized a function to celebrate birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and to mark 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
On the occasion, a symposium competition was held on the topic “Relevance of teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and contribution of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in Contemporary World”. Many students from BEd, M.Ed and BEd integrated students participated in the symposium.
Prof (Dr) Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College, who was the chief guest on the occasion, highlighted the role of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in taking the education system of India to new heights. She also stressed upon the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji for spreading peace, harmony and brotherhood.
The programme was organized by Prof Sunita Devi (NSS Programme Officer) Prof Shalini Rana(Cultural Incharge) and Dr Shubhra Jamwal.
Dr Raj Singh Narania, Dr Neelam Dhar, Prof K K Mangotra, Prof Ramzan Ali, Prof Shapia and Prof Seema Kumari were present on the occasion.
