JAMMU, July 25: A 19-year-old Taekwondo player was found dead here today, police said.
They said Kartik son of late Rakesh Sharma, a resident of Sarwal, went missing three days back from Parade area. His body was recovered from Canal Road area today under mysterious circumstances, police said.
Family members of the deceased said he had gone for trial at Brahaman Sabha and three days back, his phone got switched off.
Accordingly, a search was started, and today, the body of the youth was recovered from Canal Road area.
Police have launched inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC to ascertain the reasons behind the mysterious death of the youth.
