Taiwan stocks fall; Asustek down on Q2 sales forecast cut

TAIPEI, June 28: Taiwan stocks closed 0.19 percent lower on Thursday, with Asustek shedding 4.26 percent after the company trimmed its revenue growth forecast for the second quarter due to a delay in the launch of the new Nexus 7 tablet co-branded with Google.
The main TAIEX index fell 13.4 points to 7,169.61, after opening up 0.66 percent.
Electronics shares were flat, however Hon Hai
Gained 1.62 percent. Banking shares lost 0.53.
The Taiwan dollar was down by T$0.069 to trade at T$29.891.
Foreign investors were net buyers on Wednesday, slightly picking up T$79 million.
