Taj reviews operationalization of Super Specialty Hospital

JAMMU, Feb 25: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi-ud- Din today reviewed operationalization of Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu and shifting of machinery to the new hospital at a meeting of all the Heads of Department and Hospital administration at GMC.
The Minister directed immediate installation of Local Area Networking (LAN) in the proposed hospital and also at the GMC. He asked all the Heads of Department to give their requisitions to the Principal, GMC so that the same are made available to them in time.
During the visit, the Minister visited the Nephrology and dialysis unit of the GMC besides other wards to take an on the spot note of the cleanliness, patient management and treatment regime. He asked for coordinate efforts between the GMC and JMC to achieve complete sanitation in the hospital.
Mr. Taj also asked for installing biometric equipment at the hospital for which he asked for initiating all the requisite formalities.  He also passed strict instructions for not allowing cigarettes and gutkas inside hospital wards and rooms. He also directed the hospital administration to regulate the number of visitors to the hospital and not allow more than one attendant with a patient and that too with a valid attendant pass only.
Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu, Dr. Aniece Choudhary, Medical Superintendents and other officers accompanied the Minister during the visit.
