KISHTWAR, Mar 10: Accelerating the pace of development works in Kishtwar district, the Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Firdous Ahmed Tak inaugurated a “lift for spring water” for the Kundhalli village in Pochhal area.
While speaking on the occasion, Tak lamented that the National Conference ruled Kishtwar for consecutive 15 years but couldn’t make possible alternatives for the sufferer villagers of entire district Kishtwar, as it was least interested to implement developmental culture in far flung areas of Kishtwar.
Taking dig on opposition, Tak said that opposition had lost the 2014 assembly elections in State only because people lost trust over their fake promises of development. He added that NC-Congress coalition hasn’t justified their credibility in entire tenure.
Congratulating the people over the installation of the ‘water lift’ which was their long pending demand, he said that development should made visible on ground level which could directly benefit to the general masses in society.
He also assured the areas of Kishtwar, which are facing the problem of acute shortage of water, early installation of new water lifts including tanks. He also asked the people to use the water judicially and pay their power bills on time.
Tak also lauded the efforts of last coalition Government led by Chief Minister, late Mufti Sahab who introduced the conversion scheme programme across the State. He assured that he would work in future also over the several other projects under the conversion scheme which would benefit the masses in general.
Besides PDP leaders and workers, XEn, PHE, ACD Kishtwar and other officers as well local residents also accompanied the MLC.
