Hamirpur, Oct 23: Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik appealed to the people, especially the youth, to take loans from the banks and set up their own ventures to stand on their own feet.
She said this during a function held at Baru village of the district on Friday.
On this occasion, she distributed loans of Rs 51 crore 32 lakh to 909 people of the district during the loan oriented steps and customer interaction programme.
Banik handed over the acceptance letters to the beneficiaries including loans of about seven and a half crores to 145 entrepreneurs of MSMEs, Rs 2 crore 58 lakhs to 34 beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana, 20 crore 38 lakh were given to 67 beneficiaries as house loans and Rs 3 crore 92 lakh to 68 beneficiaries as personal loans.
131 farmers were also benefited under Kisan Credit Cards and 115 farmers under Kisan Credit Card (Dairy) schemes in the function.
