JAMMU, Oct 21: Jammu West Assembly Constituency (JWAM) president, Sunil Dimple urged the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for appropriate steps to stop migration of people from the border belts due to unproved firing and shelling by the Pakistani rangers.
He said this, while addressing JWAM activists during anti-Pakistan protest demonstration here today. During the protest, the activists also burnt the Pakistani flags.
Dimple alleged that due to continuous firing and shelling by the Pakistani rangers, the people living in border hamlets are compelled to migrate to the safer places.
If the UPA Government will not take appropriate action at this time, the situation will worsen further, he added.
“Free hand should be given to Army and Air Force to deal with the ongoing war like situation in the border areas of the State”, Dimple added.
Among others present were Dr Sham Saroop, Bansi Lal, BL Sahni, Rajinder Kumar, Dev Raj, Kulbhushan Tondon, Tarun Sharma, etc.
