JAMMU, Feb 20: District Development Council (DDC) Jammu chairperson and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today distributed Ayushman Bharat cards at Kangar Morh near, and exhorted the people to take maximum benefits out of several welfare schemes launched by Centre for them.
Bodhi distributed over 200 Golden cards of Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance under National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) among beneficiaries in a function held at Mandal Office at Kangar Morh.
Speaking on the occasion, Bodhi informed that the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance will provide coverage up to Rs five lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across the country and will cover over 10 crore poor families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) in the entire India. He emphasised upon the need for the spread of the Ayushman Bharat scheme to the masses that can avail benefits of the scheme through implementing agencies and sought active participation of everyone in the implementation of the development and welfare schemes launched by Union Government. “More such camps will be organised in near future to cover the left out people,” said the senior BJP leader.
“With the revocation of Article 370, the BJP-led Centre Government’s work for every section of the society has been finally able to reach the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are finally reaping the benefits of plethora of welfare schemes launched by the Government,” he said.
The DDC Chairman also reiterated that the Centre has launched multiple schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), AB PM-Jay Sehat Scheme, Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, PM-Kisan (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Dhan Jan Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) and several others. He asked the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reap the maximum benefits of these schemes for their overall upliftment.
