Take preventive measures in migrant, transit camps: Apni Party

JAMMU, Apr 25: State Coordinators Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Displaced Kashmiri Pandits, Vinod Pandita and Sanjay Dhar today appealed the administration to take immediate preventive measures in all Kashmiri migrant camps and transit camps in Jammu and Kashmir in view of spread of COVID-19 Pandemic.
In a joint statement Vinod Pandita has appealed administration to carry out regular spray, fumigation and sanitation drive in all migrants camps of Jammu i.e. Jagti township, TRT Nagrota, Buta Nagar, Muthi, Purkhoo etc to ensure proper cleanliness and upkeep is maintained during this hard period of COVID-19 Pandemic threat that is looming large.
He said that provisions for regular supply of pure drinking water in Jagti township and in all other camps be ensured as people have been complaining for the same since long which is a matter of serious concern that needs to be taken care of.
Sanjay Dhar said that Government must organize proper camps of testing and vaccination in all transit camps of Kashmir where PM package employees and their families are putting up in view of apprehensions of spread of COVID-19 Pandemic.
He further appealed administration to ensure the availability of essential commodities in these transit camps for the convenience of inhabitants as well ensure regular supply of pure drinking water and electricity during this hard time. Besides, cleanliness and upkeep of these transit camps of Kashmir be also ensured, he added.
Dhar also appealed to Government that proposed construction of Two BHQ accommodations for PM package employees working in Kashmir should not be altered at any cost.
