SRINAGAR, June 26: Minister for Medical Education, Taj Mohi-ud-Din this morning visited the SMHS Hospital Srinagar and inspected the gutted portion of the Emergency Block.
The Minister enquired about the fire incident from the hospital administration. Taj Mohi-ud-din issued instructions for immediate repairs and renovation of the gutted portion of the hospital and asked hospital administration to leave no stone unturned in providing best possible and hassle-free medicare facilities to the patients of IPD and OPD.
Meanwhile, Advisor to Chief Minister Qamar Ali Akhoon also visited the hospital and interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided by the hospital administration.
Akhoon expressed concern over the fire incident which took place in the hospital yesterday evening. He said that the hospital is the nerve centre of the Valley and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led Government is committed to ensure the best possible Medicare facilities in City Hospitals particularly and District and Sub District Hospitals in general.
He directed the Doctors and Para-medics to work with zeal and dedication in order to fulfill the aspirations of the people and also to be sympathetic towards the patients suffering from various ailments.
