Talab Tillo road accident: Protest held, candle march taken out

JAMMU, May 17: National Conference (NC) activists under the leadership of former Deputy Mayor, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, today held a protest demonstration at Talab Tillo against mini-bus operators and traffic police.
Speaking on the occasion Jamwal expressed resentment over failure of authorities concern to streamline traffic regulation resulting in loss of innocent life in the form of frequent road accidents.
He urged the authorities to make it mandatory for all the Matador drivers not to exceed prescribed speed as authorized by Motor Vehicle Department, Jammu.
Meanwhile in the evening, a peaceful candle march was taken out by the students of JK Montessorie School, Talab Tillo, from Poonch House (Talab Tillo) to the residence of Janvi Gupta, who was yesterday crushed to death by a mini-bus at Poonch House.
About 200-250 children including children of the vicinity of the deceased, were part of the candle march. They prayed for the peace to the soul of the deceased and through placards holding in their hands, demanded strict action against the guilty.
