JAMMU, Dec 18: Gandhi Nagar Police indicted a tanker driver under rash driving.
As per police sources, yesterday an information was received through reliable sources that a tanker bearing registration number JK02AU-3579 rashly driven by a person namely Fayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Qyoom of District Ramban was coming from Bikram Chowk towards Satwari.
However, the vehicle was signalled to stop by HC Mohinder Kumar but the driver didn’t stop and finally hit a road side parked vehicle bearing registration number JK02CE-8786 near Nai Basti.
The driver tried to flee away but was chased by police team. The driver tried to create unnecessary nuisance at the time of VIP movement on road.
On getting information, SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar reached on the spot and convinced the person to cooperate with police.
A case under FIR Number 214/2020 under Section 279 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar against the person.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
