Tanker falls in Nullah, cop among two injured

RAMBAN, July 4: Two persons were injuries after an oil tanker in which they were travelling skidded off the road and plunged into a Nullah at Bowali Bazar here on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway late Tuesday evening.
Police sources said an oil tanker bearing registration number JK02CT-7749 while on its way to Srinagar skidded off the road and plunged into a Nullah at Bowali Bazar leaving driver of the vehicle and a traffic cop injured.
Both the injured were rushed to District Hospital Ramban where after providing medical aid the injured traffic cop Riyaz Ahmed, 33, son of Abdul Rasheed Malik, resident of Neel, District Ramban was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
The injured driver identified as Hukum Singh, 51, son of Kushal Singh, resident of Udhampur was responding to the treatment at District Hospital Ramban till last reports.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
