TAPS accounts for 22.42 pc of Atomic power generated during Q1

THANE, July 17:  The Tarapur Atomic Power Station (TAPS) in this district of Maharashtra has recorded 22.42 per cent of the total 7,660 MUs  Atomic Power generation in the country during Q1 of 2013, an official report by the Power Corporation stated today.
During Q1, the power generated by TAPS was 1,717 MUs and in June it was 844 MUs, the report stated today.
The cumulative power generated by TAPS till June 2013 since its
inception was 1,29,903 MUs, it added.
During the last four years, the Plant I had generated 4,289 MUs, Plant-II 4868 MUs, Plant-III 15,067 Mus, and Plant-IV 12,525 MUs of power adding upto 36,749 MUs of power.
The year wise generation of power was 2009-10 7991 MUs, 1010-11
9121 MUs, 1022-12 9814 Mus, and 2012-13 9823 MUs of power.
The total installed capacity of all the power plants in the country as of now is 4,780 MUs of power. (UNI)
