Tarkhan starts up-gradation work of drains

JAMMU, Sept 11: Senior BJP leader and former Chairman JMC and Councillor of Ward 51 (Channi Himmat), Raj Kumar Tarkhan here today started the work of covering drains with iron grating at Thanger area.
The work shall be accomplished at an estimated expenditure of Rs. 3 lakh and there was a long pending demand for up-gradation of roads and placing of iron and concrete gratings over the drains.
The road was upgraded few days back and today the Councillor has started the work of up-gradation of drains.
Speaking on the occasion Tarkhan said that BJP will leave no stone unturned to end discrimination of decades done with neglected areas.
He also assured that remaining demands of the people will also be addressed at the earliest.
The JMC Councillor also said that PM Modi led government is committed for the overall development of every area especially in J&K.
He said the execution of works has been initiated and it will be completed with no compromise on quality of the work so that people may not have to suffer in future.
