JAMMU, Dec 1: To conduct surprise checks for finding out if any doctor has indulged in receiving freebies from Pharma Companies and Labs, the State Government has accorded sanction for constitution of Task Force for the purpose.
The Task Force, headed by the Additional District Development Commissioner of the concerned district, shall bring the violation on part of any doctor or company or Lab immediately to the knowledge of the Government Health and Medical Education Department for further necessary action.
Departmental Vigilance Officer (Health) of the concerned district and Executive Magistrate Ist Class of the concerned area will be other two members of the Task Force.
The Government sanction has been accorded in pursuance of the outcome of a PIL, titled Naseer Ahmad Shah versus State and others.
