Sir,
As per publication in Daily Excelsior of dated 12.10..2024, J&K State Administration have reconstituted UT level Task Force for continuous interaction with Natonal Task Force (NFT) for Planning, Design and Implementation of 24×7 hours water supply under AMRUT 2.0 in the UT for all Urban areas of the UT. In this context, I would like to suggest the concerned authorities to consider inclusion of some such persons in their team who have already gained sufficient practical experience of working in 24×7 water supply projects, although wisdom of already selected members in UT level Task Force is never doubtful, yet their practical experience in such working situations should have been thoroughly assessed.
In my view, there is only one such place in J&K State where 24×7 hours water supply schemes are presently satisfactorily running; and that is Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine areas beyond Banganga upto :
i) SMVD Bhawan via Adhkuwari-Sanji Chhatt-Bhairo Ghatti (12 Km track old route)
ii) SMVD Bhawan from Adhkuwari (6 Km track called new track)
iii) SMVD Bhawan via Tarakote Marg (15-16 Km track)
In case State Administration is really interested in adopting 24×7 hours water supply system anywhere in the State- they must consider some persons who have already worked in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi water supply (may be even retired persons) or are presently working there.
In my view only such persons can effectively interact with NTF as they also need to be apprised about local problems of the State.
Hopefully my view in this regard shall be considered in right perspective.
