SRINAGAR, Aug 26: In favour of their long pending demands particularly about their regularization, Jammu and Kashmir Revised National Tuberculosis Employees Association (RNTCA) observed a one day hunger strike at Press Enclave Srinagar today.
During the demonstration, the employees said that Government has made their future bleak and dark. “How long we could rely upon false promises. The government had promised us that all the employees would be regularized but nothing was done in this regard,” said Hamid-ullah-Pandit, president RNTCA.
They said that RNTCA employees are getting meagre consolidated salary without any allowances like no Provident Fund, no maternity leave, and no risk allowances as employees are at high risk of getting TB.
